Level A1: Beginner (Niveau Découverte)
This level is for those with little to no prior knowledge of French. You'll learn the absolute basics to understand and use familiar everyday expressions and very basic phrases.

Level A2: Elementary (Niveau Intermédiaire)
Building on A1, this level enables you to communicate in simple and routine tasks requiring a direct exchange of information on familiar topics. You'll understand sentences and frequently used expressions related to areas of most immediate relevance.
Key Learning Objectives:
- Understanding frequently used expressions related to personal and family information, shopping, local geography, employment.
- Describing in simple terms aspects of your background, immediate environment, and matters in areas of immediate need.
- Talking about past events using the Passé Composé (with être and avoir).
- Describing ongoing actions and habits in the past using the Imparfait.
- Talking about future plans using the Futur Proche (aller + infinitive).

Level B1: Intermediate (Niveau Seuil)
At B1, you can understand the main points of clear standard input on familiar matters regularly encountered in work, school, leisure, etc. You can deal with most situations likely to arise whilst travelling in an area where French is spoken. You can produce simple connected text on topics which are familiar or of personal interest and describe experiences, events, dreams, hopes, and ambitions.

- Narrating stories, expressing feelings and opinions with justification.
- Using the Futur Simple and Conditionnel Présent to talk about future possibilities and hypothetical situations.
- Understanding and using the Subjonctif Présent in common expressions of doubt, will, or emotion.

Level B2: Upper Intermediate (Niveau Indépendant)
At B2, you can understand the main ideas of complex text on both concrete and abstract topics, including technical discussions in your field of specialisation. You can interact with a degree of fluency and spontaneity that makes regular interaction with native speakers quite possible without strain for either party. You can produce clear, detailed text on a wide rangeing of subjects and explain a viewpoint on a topical issue giving the advantages and disadvantages of various options.

- Understanding extended speech and lectures and following complex lines of argument.
- Reading articles and reports concerned with contemporary problems in which the writers adopt particular attitudes or viewpoints.
- Presenting clear, detailed descriptions on a wide range of subjects related to your interests.

Level C1: Advanced (Niveau Autonome)
At C1, you can understand a wide range of demanding, longer texts, and recognise implicit meaning. You can express yourself fluently and spontaneously without much obvious searching for expressions. You can use language flexibly and effectively for social, academic and professional purposes. You can produce clear, well-structured, detailed text on complex subjects, showing controlled use of organisational patterns, connectors and cohesive devices.

- Summarizing information from different spoken and written sources, reconstructing arguments and accounts in a coherent presentation.

TEF Canada Preparation
Our specialized TEF Canada preparation module is designed for students aiming to achieve a high score for Canadian immigration (Express Entry, provincial nominee programs) or citizenship purposes. We focus on all four sections of the exam.
Module Focus:
